Welcome to the latest edition of our Dreamers Digital Digest. This week we have a range of stories covering the highly anticipated reveal of the iPhone 7 as well as revelations from Google regarding a certain black and white animal. Let’s get started with the biggest news of the week.
Apple releases the next generation of the iPhone
It’s probably the most trending topic in the world right now, and everyone surely knows what is going on but Apple have (link: http://www.apple.com/iphone-7/ text: released) their latest smartphone, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7Plus. With quotes from Tim Cook proclaiming that this was ‘the best iPhone we’ve ever created’, there were certain elements which had people slightly scratching their heads.
The audio jack for example is gone, with Apple seemingly bringing it back to the ‘old skool’ with wireless ear pods which you have to buy (think Bluetooth headsets circa 1999). What does this mean for your current headphones I hear you all ask? Well the new phone comes with an adaptor which you can put into the lighting jack which is also used for charging the phone. With mixed responses all over the internet, we believe the iPhone7 will still be as popular as ever.
First Pokémon Go, now Super Mario Run
Nintendo has announced that Mario will officially be (link: http://kotaku.com/official-new-mario-game-announced-for-ios-1786329332 text: coming to the iPhone). After the success of Pokémon Go which they co-created, Nintendo has further jumped on the mobile gaming bandwagon by introducing a game featuring the very popular Mario. The gaming app will launch later this year in around 100 countries on iOS only. An Android version of the app will be launched at a later date. Let’s hope we can all help him save the Princess eh?
Sony unveils PlayStation4 Pro

The console is rumoured to debut next month has a faster processor, better graphics and is supported for 4K resolution. Whilst having better hardware, the console isn’t replacing the current PS4, Sony are just aiming to make “the PS4 experience to extraordinary new levels”, with all new games still being compatible for the older PS4.

Slack which is an up and coming messenger service within the workplace, will have a new competitor to contend with, with the name Skype Teams. Skype Teams is rumoured to include a lot of similar features as Slack such as group messaging as well as direct messaging between team members.
