This year we are defending our winning title at Global Radio’s Big App-Venture challenge on 9th October.
Last year we entered a team of four and raised more than £1000 for Global Radio’s Make Some Noise charity, a national charity that helps disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. This year we have decided to enter two teams, the DreamTeam and the SuperStars and have set ourselves an ambitious target of raising £1600.

On Sunday 9th October both our teams will receive an iPad, a special app and take part in a massive treasure hunt in Birmingham. We will be sent on a secret trail completing various challenges set by Global Radio’s presenters in order to find a mystery location somewhere in the city.
The teams have organised a number of fun events to encourage our colleagues and clients to dig deep and raise as much money as possible for the charity.

We kicked off our fundraising efforts with a car wash making the most of the warm weather in September.
Having washed 16 of our employee’s cars the Dream Team and the SuperStars raised £80.
Our second big fundraising event which took place on the 30th September was the Silent Auction which raised over £500 for Globals Make Some Noise Charity bringing us much closer to our target.
A number of local business’, friends and families donated some fantastic prizes without whom the event would not have been possible.
Prizes included:
– Head Stylist at the Salon in Chaddesley Corbett offering a cut and blow-dry worth £40
– A Superdream Duvet Day and a Christmas Shopping day
– A choice of one of four celebration cakes up to the value of £125 sponsored by Maisie Cakes
– A pair of gig tickets sponsored by Global Radio
– A gel polish manicure by our in-house beautician Lyn
– A space on our Media Buying Assistants right foot for a tattoo design of the winning bidders choice
– Becoming the Superdream MD for the day

Other fun activities and events to support our fundraising efforts for the Big Appventure included: throwing a pie in our Senior Media Buyers face, selling ice creams and sweet treats for donations, offering half price training sessions to our clients and finally our big Duck Race – the last fundraising event on 7th October!

Our Senior media buyer, Aaron Jones, who is taking part in the Big App-Venture challenge, said: “We are so determined to defend our winning title this year at the Big App-Venture in Birmingham. We can’t wait to find out what the mystery location is this year.’’
