Challenge/ Brief
Inala is home to a community of diverse backgrounds and rich cultures. Our ongoing client, Inala Community House, engaged Superdream to launch a new event for the local area. They wanted to create a one-day festival for families in the community to enjoy and celebrate the incredible diversity of cultures within the region. After other organisations had created similar events in the past, Inala Community House wanted to establish a legacy event, an annual celebration that would grow and respond to the community’s needs.
There were a few non-negotiables: the event needed to include multicultural performances and rides and be accessible for families in a lower socio-economic area.

Our solution:
Superdream’s first task was to create a brand for this event. The client wanted this to feel connected to their organisation but still stand alone with a unique look and feel. Our team created a complete visual identity for the campaign.
The date for the upcoming Inala Multicultural Festival was locked in, and we launched the campaign, overseeing all the marketing ahead of the event. Our focus then shifted to logistics. We had to recruit volunteers, draft a risk assessment, coordinate with suppliers, and manage the event’s layout. We worked closely with Inala Community House to coordinate site visits with the venue, draft a run sheet, and manage the day’s activities.
After tremendous success in the first year, we looked for new opportunities to grow the Inala Multicultural Festival. Our planning began nine months before the event, and our involvement grew to include venue and vendor management.
Inala Community House wanted to engage sponsors for the event. We helped create sponsor packages and a sponsor proposal and collated a list of potential prospects. As sponsors came on board, we also helped manage the rollout of their deliverables across social media, posters, and the website.
The growth from the first year was exceptional, with many learnings and new processes implemented to improve efficiencies, communication, and the overall running of the day. We look forward to seeing how this event will continue to grow in future years.
