The Challenge:

Paramount Pictures Australia manages the national distribution of their titles, bringing us many of the films we know and love. Based in Sydney, the team engaged Superdream as a local agency to manage all the publicity and promotions across Queensland and the Northern Territory.


For each new title hitting the cinemas, Superdream’s task is to secure promotions with key media outlets and generate exposure for the film. Alongside promotions, our goal is to generate publicity for the film through the management of a local premiere event, capturing the attention of mainstream media, influencers, and local celebrities.

Our solution:

In our eight-year relationship working with Paramount Pictures, we have achieved some incredible things. Each film brings new opportunities to think creatively, test boundaries, and capture the attention of our target audience.

With each title, we plan engaging, fun, and content-worthy premiere events. These not only generate publicity but also allow selected guests to see the film early and generate media buzz. There have been motorbike stunt shows, aerial artists, jazz bands, DJs, dancers, prosthetic makeup, and more media walls than we can count.
Superdream has developed strong relationships with media outlets, sporting teams, and exhibitors in our local area, tapping into these avenues for unique promotional opportunities. This has seen our titles be front and centre at major sporting events or taking over cinemas for exclusive preview screenings run by radio stations.

The excitement and passion grow with each new campaign, challenging our team to reach new goals and achieve ever-greater results for our client.

Since we began working with Paramount Pictures in 2016, we have managed 40+ film titles and welcomed thousands of guests to premieres. Our team adapted and responded during the global pandemic, looking for new ways to market the films. As social media has changed and we have seen the rise of content creators, we have tailored our events to provide the best content opportunities. Our most recent premiere, IF, saw a social media reach of more than 2,564,300. In 2023 alone, we managed eight releases, which included supporting the Australian premiere and press tour of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
